Citrus Heights Woman Hit While Crossing Street
CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) -- A woman was hit and killed while trying to cross the street tonight in Citrus Heights.
The woman known to the neighborhood as "Turquoise" was hit and killed by a vehicle after, police say, she crossed the road when she didn't have the right of way.
But neighbors aren't buying the story. They say Turquoise always used the crosswalk and waited for the light. The incident happened on Auburn Boulevard in Citrus Heights.
The victim's real name has not yet been released.
