NATOMAS (CBS13) – Today is technically the deadline for the Natomas Unified School District to close an almost $9 million budget gap and keep the state from taking over the district.
But that takeover could be delayed.
The district announced they are no longer at an impasse with the Natomas Teacher’s Association.
Both sides will sit down again tomorrow to negotiate.
District officials say they are optimistic an agreement will be reached preventing the takeover.
