Twin Rivers Unified Votes To Close Two More Elementary Schools
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Budget woes are forcing two more Sacramento area schools to close their doors.
Twin Rivers Unified School District trustees voted Tuesday night to close Larchmont Elementary in North Highlands and North Avenue Elementary in Del Paso Heights this June.
Parents and teachers are concerned it will create larger classrooms and cripple the learning experience.
School officials say combining the schools will save the district about $450,000 a year.
