Infant Dies A Week After Alleged Abuse

SUISUN CITY, Calif. (CBS13) -- An infant boy died Sunday afternoon after suffering grievous injuries early last week, according to authorities.

The three-month-old child was rushed to the hospital on November 29 in grave condition and was flown to the Children's Hospital in Oakland for treatment of "non-accidental trauma," according to the Suisun City Police Department.

Authorities arrested 54-year-old Reginald Tanubagijo for felony child abuse the next day.

Tanubagijo was released from prison on bail and allegedly attempted to commit suicide Sunday morning, police said. The suspect was taken to the hospital and is undergoing a psychological evaluation.

Investigators learned Sunday afternoon the infant had died at the hospital from his injuries.

Tanubagijo has been rearrested on murder charges.
