Daughter Called 911 As Father Allegedly Killed Mother

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A 10-year-old girl called 911 and then escaped safely as her father allegedly killed her mother in their South Sacramento home early Wednesday morning, according to Sacramento Sheriff's Deputies.

Sacramento dispatchers received the 911 call from the young girl at 6:59 a.m.  from inside her home in the 8000 block of Pinot Noir Way just off Vintage Park Drive.  Deputies say she told the dispatchers: 'my father is killing my mother'.

While deputies were responding, they got a call telling them the girl had run from the home and to a neighbor's for help.

The girl told deputies she had heard her adoptive mother and father arguing and then heard her mother scream.  The girl says she climbed out her bedroom window, called 911 and then went to a neighbor's home.

Deputies then stormed into the girl's home and captured the girl's 65-year-old father who was resisting arrest.  Deputies eventually tased him and put him in handcuffs.

The girl's mother was found nearby suffering from multiple stab wounds.  Paramedics pronounced the 60-year-old woman dead.

The man has been taken into custody and is being questioned.  He will be booked into jail and charged with murder when deputies finish their interview.
