Woman Found Dead In Rancho Cordova

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. (CBS13) – The discovery of a dead body Saturday morning has triggered a murder investigation, according to authorities.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said 37-year-old Rancho Cordova resident Rajeet Kor Singh was found dead near light rail tracks close to the intersection of Mills Park Drive and Olson Drive just before 11:00 a.m.

There were no immediate signs of trauma and the cause of death has not been released, but Singh was apparently the victim of a homicide, authorities said.
