Placer County Deputies Searching For Purse Thief

AUBURN (CBS13) – Placer County Sheriff's deputies are searching for man who has been stealing women's purses from grocery carts in Auburn.

Deputies say the suspect takes the purses from shopping carts while the victim's back is turned.

After reviewing surveillance, deputies believe the same man is responsible for two thefts and possibly a third.

The suspect is described as a black man, 5' 8" to 5' 10" tall with a muscular build. He was wearing a long white T-shirt with black pants.
