Meth Sting Yields 19 Pounds Of Drugs

YUBA CITY, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities have seized 19 pounds of methamphetamine and arrested four men after a six-month narcotics investigation in Sutter County.

The Appeal-Democrat of Marysville reports that an undercover narcotics officer ordered 50 pounds of meth from 55-year-old Amador Gutierrez Navarro, a suspected distributor.

Navarro reportedly agreed to deliver an initial quantity to the officer Tuesday. He was arrested that night in Yuba City with six pounds of meth.

Officers then went to a home in Live Oak where Navarro said 13 additional pounds of meth were stored.

Navarro's 24-year-old son, David Guzman Navarro, attempted to flee on foot, along with 28-year-old Jose Roman Chavez and 30-year-old Miguel Rodriguez Aispuro. All three were arrested.
