ELK GROVE (CBS13) – A SWAT situation has come to an end in Elk Grove after hours of waiting to make contact with a couple inside an apartment complex.

The standoff took place overnight at Renwick Avenue and Nolan.

That’s where Elk Grove police and SWAT teams arrived after reports of a possible domestic dispute and hearing a high-caliber gun being cocked.

The weapon was never fired and it took a few hours for SWAT teams to make contact with the couple inside to make sure no one was being held against their will.

No injuries were reported.

They’re just justifying the use of a sniper with an assault riffle on the Hasslebein case. I’d refuse to come out too if I had armed Elk Grove cops at my door.
