SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY (CBS13) – A 17-year-old girl has been accused of allegedly killing her newborn baby in a bathroom after giving birth, according to the San Joaquin Sheriff’s Department.

The girl was admitted to a local hospital Tuesday afternoon for birth complications, which is when authorities learned that she had given birth in the bathroom of her single-wide trailer.

Sheriff’s deputies believe that she killed the baby in the bathroom and then buried the baby’s body in a field adjacent to the mobile homes located on Holt Road, just west of Stockton.

Authorities do not know when she gave birth or when she allegedly killed the baby, according to Sheriff Sgt. Les Garcia.

The girl was taken to juvenile hall and has been charged with murder.

According to authorities, the girl was apparently living at the mobile home with her parents.

If you’re going to go through the pain of childbirth, why not give the child up for adoption? Even if she were to simply drop the child off at a firestation or hospital, she would be fine, the baby would find a family, and no one would go to jail…

But I suppose that’s what I would expect out of someone giving birth in the bathroom of a single wide trailer…

i don’t care, just ask someone who was a result of a rape if they are happy to be here. My guess is they would say they are. An innocent life was taken by a selfish teenager!!

According to the Stockton Register the teen was 22-26 weeks into her pregnancy and yes the baby was born alive. I’m not saying what she did was right but clearly she didn’t have 9 months to decide what to do and come clean to her parents or ask for help. I used to live in a rural area and the closest fire department was 6 miles away, if she doesn’t have a car should she have walked there to give away her child? I’m not sure if the baby would have even survived that long without proper medical attention to have made it to the drop off location. I won’t excuse her actions but I think we should hear the full story before we jump to conclusions and label her a cold blooded killer.

It doesnt matter that she lived in a trailer that part shouldn’t have even been in the story!!! Where ever she gave birth or was raised she should have known better! Why when you people hear trailer you asume incest/rape that is a pretty unfair thing to asume.

first of all, if she is old enough to have sex, get pregnant, give birth to a live baby, and finally kill an innocent baby, then she is old enough to be tried for murder in an adult court, not a juvenile hall. she deserves to be locked up for a long time. it doesn’t matter if it’s rape or call it whatever you want. she still killed an innocent baby. if she doesn’t want the baby, then give it up for adoption. it’s as simple as that. there are enough psycho killers in the psycho ward, don’t add it some more.

i truely have no simpathy for them. the poor babies didnt ask to b here. what did the babies do to get a death sentance put on them! this makes me sick!! lock them all up! theres no excuse!
