The kitchen knives-guns comparison is ridiculous. Kitchen knives have an innocent purpose–preparing food. A gun has only one purpose–taking life. Guns probably shouldn’t be banned entirely, but there do need to be tight, reasonable restrictions on their ownership and usage.

Guns are the only tool that allows an innocent citizen to be equal with the thug that wants to murder, rape, or assault them. It allows the 80 year old, the small man or woman, and the kind and decent in general, to protect themselves. Outlawing guns only prevents the innocent from protecting themselves. Outlawing guns insures that the violent rule, and insures that ONLY the violent will have guns. Outlawing guns in the hands of the innocent is immoral.

I’ve carried a “legal” gun for four years. I’ve never had a reason to pull it out, yet. I think the more armed, legal, educated people we have out there, the safer everyone is. In Vermont anyone can carry a concealed weapon, the bad guys have no idea who’s carrying protection. The crime rate in the entire state of Vermont is less than the Sacramento area!

How about we all leave our own personal views on this alone for a minute and just say a prayer for the families that are without loved one today… and a prayer for the one’s who did this, as they are obviously dealing with some serious, deep rooted issues.

all the young men in rancho cordova have made the conclusion that the OK Program for young men in this area prevented alot of these events from occuring, i am a friend of the family of these three boys and would not like to see any of this continue, if we bring the OK program we may just save young boys from the streets and put them in the right path.

I don’t mean to come across as heartless but……. recently in that exact area there was a rash of burglaries by 3 teens on bikes. I know this because a friends home had an attempted break in but they were home and scared 3 kids off, they got on bikes and fled. They had managed to rob the house next door and other homes had been robbed in that area as well. I am NOT saying these were the same 3 and I’m NOT saying this was right even if they were but people around here might be taking the law into their own hands because Rancho Police are more worried about citations than safety of our community.

Febuary 13, 2011 will always rember. Those 3 younge men will never be forgotten thase young men did not deserve to die they were good boys my son was close to all 3 of them he is really heart broken over this. The other day I saw one cop pull over a man on a bicycle (really?!!) and then 2 min later I see him pulling over a car. Quit the bickering and complaining. Justice will not be served when the culprits are arrested. The justice system since the late 1970′s has convicted felons and later set them free after serving 20 years or less. You figure that a human life as since my our judicial system, is only worth a couple of years in a detention facility. Thanks to the ACLU; and other organizations that defend the rights of murderers; rapists; and other felons who are convicted and later set free, the safety of loved ones are once again placed in danger by these predators. We the Sons of Justice, believe that justice should be served. Citizens should have the right to see the murderers who deliberately took the lives of their loved ones be executed, live for live, no exemptions.
