Three Teens Killed In Rancho Cordova

RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) - The suspect or suspects who gunned down three teens in Rancho Cordova Sunday are still on the loose.

Rancho Cordova Police and Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies received multiple calls Sunday afternoon just after 4:30 saying three people had been shot and were lying in the front yard of a home in the 10100 block of Malaga Way.

When officers arrived, they found three teens with gunshot wounds.  One was pronounced dead at the scene.  The two other teens were taken to the hospital where they later died.

Detectives have not released the names or ages of the three teens shot and killed, but a close source says two of them were middle-schoolers.

The shooting is still being investigated. However, officers believe it may have been a drive-by but no one saw the car or the shooter.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (916) 874-5115, Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP, or send a text message tip to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Those who call or text can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
