Fisherman's Body Found In Delta

OAKLEY, Calif. (AP) -- The body of a San Francisco man who went missing during a solo fishing trip on Jan. 22 has been found about a half-mile away from where he was presumed to have drowned.

Contra Costa Sheriff's Office spokesman Jimmy Lee says the department received a call Sunday morning about a body floating in the Sacramento delta near Oakley.

The coroner confirmed later that day it belonged to 51-year-old Harry Lee, whose 20-foot boat was found in the area the day he disappeared with the keys still in the ignition.

The Coast Guard and members of the Contra Costa County Sheriff's marine unit spent a week combing the water before calling off the search.

An autopsy Monday concluded that Lee drowned. Investigators think he probably fell into the water.
