Tornado Damages Homes In Williams
WILLIAMS, Calif. (CBS13) -- A tornado touched down in Colusa County for the second time in 3 days, according to meteorologists, causing minor damage to several homes in the area.
Wednesday's EF-0 twister formed over the town of Williams at about 3:00 p.m., leaving behind a 1-mile damage track, according to the National Weather Service.
A total of six homes were damaged, and witness reports indicate that flying debris damaged other property, such as a car that lost its rear window to ceramic roof tiles tossed by the high winds.
Another funnel cloud formed over the town of Sutter later in the afternoon. Officials are unsure if it touched down and have not classified it as a tornado.
No injuries were reported.
Monday's storm system over northeastern Colusa County produced another EF-0 tornado in a rural area. No structural damage or injuries were reported.
