SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A body has been found inside a car pulled from a drainage canal near the American River at Discovery Park.

Crews were called to the canal around 5:30 this morning after witnesses reported seeing a car traveling about 70 miles per hour when it left Truxel Road, flew through some trees and landed in the water.

Rescue crews and emergency divers searched the water and found the car completely submerged in the frigid waters around 7:30 a.m.   It took several hours for crews to pull out the car because of debris in the water.

When the car was pulled out just after 1 p.m., the crews found a body inside.

I am sorry for the lose of life, but every where you look people are driving to fast.
Seventy miles per hour is even to fast on garden highway when dry.
The driver took with him some innocent people that did not deserve this end.

How sad. Even if he was driving to fast it’s a shame lives may be lost. I don’t know anyone that can say they have never driven to fast. We were just lucky.

  • Mom

My heart goes out to the family. :(

Cindy – Doesnt the article just say one body inside? The driver? So very sad, but not sure I see where he/she took other lives with him/her?

Did Stan Atkinson really say that? “Loser?{ Please say it isn’t so. How dare he what gves him the right to judge some poor soul he probably doesn’t even know! I can’t believe someone with his stature would stoop to such low life comments.

    How sad.

My thoughts goes to his family specially his two little boys. Milton Sujo, RIP, he was a very known business man in the Sacramento area and a dear friend, only 32 years old. He was not just a handsome man but a very good father.

  • Karla Jimenez-Ramirez

This is truly sad, I knew him he was the father of one of my daughters classmate and my prayers and deepest condolocense goes out to the family specially his kids.

Anna and I empathize with the family. Anna and Natalia are the best of friends and attended elementary school together for many years. Milton was a wonderful father loved his children more than anything. Many times Anna would spend the night with Natalia and Milton. He was friendly, outgoing – love life and this earth.

We shall pray for the repose of his sole.

Milton was my High School boyfriend of 4 yrs. I hadn’t spoken to him in years. My heart goes out to him & his family. Especially his mom, “Isabelle”, his significant other, and beautiful children, “Natalie & little Milton”. I’m so sorry you had to lose your dad at such a young age. Someday, you’ll get to see him again, when you’re old & gray in Heaven. May God give you the strength to endure this devestating tragedy over the next several months. I’m so sorry……RIP Milton Sujo

What exactly did Stan Atkinson say about Milton???? Please let me know asap

  • Thomas Sujo

Hey Dumb-ass get the facts straight before you start to talk. My brother took ONLY his own life no one else.

  • Thomas A. Sujo

Life is too short and should not be taken for granted. My older brother was a beautiful person and very loving dad. I thank every one for showing their support. And please tell your love ones that you love very much , because you never know if that’s the last time you’ll ever see them again. My family was very close and we enjoyed Milton for 37 wonderful years.Although he’s gone he did leave behind Natalia and little Milton which we also will enjoy till our dying day. I LOVE YOU BIG BRO. God bless and we’ll one day meet again.
