Suspect Cut Hole In Roof Of Store In Attempted Burglary

WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Police called off a door-to-door search for a suspect in an attempted break-in at a gas station in West Sacramento.

The incident began around 3:30 this morning at Kwik Stop on Sacramento Avenue at Jefferson Boulevard.

Police say the store's alarm was triggered when someone cut a hole, big enough for a small person to fit through, into the store's roof.

When the alarm sounded, the suspect took off into a nearby neighborhood.

Police used K-9 units in attempt to track down the criminal but did not find anyone.
