School Lockdown Lifted After Suspect Search

CARMICHAEL (CBS13) – A school in Carmichael was locked down Wednesday as Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputies searched for a suspect in the area.

According to the Sheriff’s office, a man ran from probation officers at North Avenue and Cabriolet Court, dumping a gun along the way.

Deputies set up a perimeter but was unable to locate the suspect.

Victory Christian School on Garfield Avenue was placed on voluntary lockdown as a precaution, but the lockdown was lifted at about 1:40 p.m.
