Three Teens Held For Craigslist Robbery-Killing

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- San Diego police have arrested three 17-year-old boys on suspicion of robbing and killing an 18-year-old man who answered an ad on Craigslist.

A police report says the victim was shot Wednesday night in the Paradise Hills area. His name wasn't released.

Authorities say the man and his girlfriend went to buy an item they saw for sale on Craigslist but instead three people pretending to be sellers stole their money and cell phones.

The robbers drove off and the victims chased them to get a license plate number. At a cul-de-sac, one robber fired a shot that hit the pursuing driver.

The robbers fled again but crashed their car at another cul-de-sac and ran off. The teenagers were arrested about a block away after a search.
