SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A Sacramento postal worker has been indicted for stealing more than two dozen bottles of prescription drugs while on the job, according to the Department of Justice.

A federal grand jury returned a 30-count indictment charging 62-year-old Randall Paul Wessar of Wilton with mail theft by a postal carrier.

The indictment alleges Wessar stole 30 bottles of hydrocodone, also known as Vicodin, from the mail between March 2010 and April 2011.  Wessar was arrested on April 28, 2011 and was later released on bond.

His next court appearance is scheduled for May 29.
