3 Hurt In Overnight Midtown Attacks

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Two separate overnight incidents left three people seriously injured in Midtown, and a suspect from one of the attacks is still at large, authorities said.

The Sacramento Police Department said a fight broke out at Parlare Euro Lounge at J Street and 10th Street shortly after 1:00 a.m. Saturday, spilling into the street and leaving a man critically injured after being beaten with a bottle.

A suspect was arrested for the alleged assault.

About 20 minutes later, authorities responded to reports of a shooting at Capitol Garage at K Street and 15th Street that left two people wounded in the lower body.

Investigators said a suspect wearing a black hooded sweatshirt ran by the restaurant and fired at least 5 shots. The victims are expected to survive.

"There was a vehicle that was scene with the suspects, that was a maroon Dodge, possibly an Intrepid," said Sgt. Norm Leong.

The shooter was described as a Hispanic or black male, and a white female was seen driving in the alleged getaway car.
