Another Murder Hits Stockton On Tuesday

STOCKTON, Calif. (CBS13) – A man was gunned down while riding his bike Tuesday afternoon, marking the sixth murder in the Stockton area within the past week, authorities said.

The Stockton Police Department said the man was fatally shot in a possible gang-related shooting after an altercation on North Sutter Street near East Noble Street at about 3:30 p.m.

The identity of the victim has not been released. No suspect description was immediately available.

Authorities said the murder is the fifth murder within the Stockton city limits and the sixth in the region within the past week. There is no indication that the killings are connected.

The latest murder brings the total number of homicides in Stockton to 14 for the year.
