Man Drowns In Stanislaus River

RIVERBANK, Calif. (CBS13) – Emergency crews are attempting to retrieve the body of a man who drowned Tuesday evening in the Stanislaus River.

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department said two men in their 20s went swimming in the river near Jacob Myers Park in Riverbank and disappeared under the water.

Rescue crews were able to find and rescue one of the men, but the other man was trapped under water and could not be located in time.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

    Wow. Very poor taste. First of all who cares about that? A young man loses his life in a tragic accident and that’s the comment you chose to make. Classy. Please don’t have any children. The effect on the national IQ curve would be awful.
