FAIRFIELD (CBS13) – A defense attorney is fighting to throw out the case against two Fairfield mothers facing charges after their four small children burned to death.
Latisha and Shetarra James were in court this morning.
Their trial is scheduled to begin next week, but Sheterra’s attorney filed a motion to dismiss the charges because of misconduct by the prosecution.
The judge did not agree.
The sisters were arrested after investigators said they left their kids alone with an unattended candle that started a fire in their apartment.
