SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Casey Anthony is out of jail after she was found not guilty of murdering her daughter, but she’s not out of legal trouble. Sacramento-area Bounty Hunter Leonard Padilla is suing Anthony.
Padilla says he is filing a lawsuit against Anthony and her attorney Jose Baez. He’s seeking $200,000 for the money he spent searching for Anthony’s daughter, Caylee.
“Somebody should’ve definitely come forward and said, ‘hey we don’t need you guys’,” said Padilla.
Padilla was one of a few people to talk face-to-face with Casey Anthony in 2008 after he flew to Orlando to post her bail. He says that after talking to the 22-year-old mother for 10 minutes, he revoked her bond because he didn’t buy her story.
Padilla says he knows where Casey might be hiding out.
“I’ve said she’s down in the palm springs area, I believe,” said Padilla. “The airplane that she left Florida in belongs to a fellow an attorney that was involved in the case, and he’s down in that area. He’s got a couple places down in that area.”
Padilla is confident he’ll see his money. He says Casey is working on some sort of movie or book deal and that some of the cash will trickle down to him.

She was guilty of endangering that child which caused her death, either bad parenting or murder. They couldn’t prove murder bc the body was to decomposed. But I bet they would have if the body was found earlier. I could not live with myself with my child missing or so called drowing. I would report it a second I knew something was wrong. She needs to be in jail or the crazy house. Something is menatly wrong with her. how do u not report ur child missing and go party. I mean Jacie Duggard was sexually molested and held captive for years and she has enough sense to do that. Don’t blame it on ur daddy problems shes crazy

I hope he gets plenty it looks like Baez and Anthony have more than a attorney/client relationship going on. The jury blew it big time and I do mean big time. Every time one jurer is interviewed they show how incredibly stupid they sound. The one they interviewed today found HER NOT GUILTY because he did not believe her father, BIG DEAL if the baby drowned and they covered it up then they are both guilty as h–l, co-conspiriters. Baez will know doubt take good care of his client(HA)wink, wink, I wonder if he is married and is a good friend of that judge

What difference does it make HOW she killed that baby she killed her, shes dead period insanity reigns and this trail proves it without a shadow of a doubt well that is Biblical, in the last days there will not be enough sane people left to care for the insane. Funny comments – bottom line is she admitted via her defense team that she knew her daughter was dead – accidental drowning or otherwise. Yet she lied to the countless volunteers and law enforcement officials, and yes, to this bounty hunter. I say better he takes any money she is going to try to make off the death of her daughter than for her to make a profit and cash in. That is why the Texas group is suing her (she could have told them Caylee was already dead) instead of letting them expend resources and manpower. Those people could have been helping others.

How many lawyers do ya know who fly their client here and there in their private plane? It pays to be young pretty and have a good figure by golly ya can get away with murder and have your lawyer ga ga over ya. She is good at lap dancing partying and getting tatooted while her babies body is rotting in the trunk of her car so I imagine she has a lot of other unmentionable(censored)talents her lawyer is interested in exploring. the bail bond business must be slow these days. for all of you up in your ivory towers..if you are so sure that she killed her own daughter, why didn’t you prove it to the court? i don’t really have an opinion on it because i, like everyone else, DO NOT KNOW WHAT REALLY HAPPENED..give her a break. this trial was over-sensationalized by the media anyways, which swayed a lot of opinions on the matter. it’s done now. get over it. now go back to watching your dr. phil and nancy grace.

He repeatedlly stated during his failed search that he was doing so for no fee. She was found not guilty. Moreover, it is possible that at the time the girl was with someone other than her mother but was killed following the media circus of which Padilla was part of the sideshow.
