Rivalry Over? Probably Not

Been hearing lots of talk lately about the Dodger/Giant rivalry being dead. Of course most of this talk comes from Giant fans themselves, feeling pretty awesome with a World Series Championship banner flying over the bay. But you'll find just as many Dodger fans pointing to their five World Series flags gracing Chavez Ravine and saying, "We'll be back!" Through the many lean Giant years, and there were more than a few, when the Dodgers were the toast of the west, it always stung just a little more when San Francisco beat LA. This rivalry, which has its' genesis 3000 miles away in Brooklyn and New York, has continued for decades and there's no reason to think Los Angeles and San Francisco fans will view each other any differently. Just as the fans that watched the Dodgers snap the Giants latest winning streak.
