Deputies Investigating Armed Home Invasion In South Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CBS13) – Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies are investigating an armed home invasion in South Sacramento where the suspects pretended to be construction workers.

Deputies were called to a home in the 10200 block of Sorenstam Drive just after noon.

Two grandparents and five children including three infants were inside the home, according to deputies, when two Asian men pretending to be construction workers tricked the grandmother into opening the front door.

The suspects allegedly held a gun to the grandmother's head and demanded money. The grandfather was able to escape and told the neighbor to call 911.

The suspects fled without taking anything. Deputies say the family is traumatized.

No detailed suspect descriptions have been released.
