Housing Prices Could Stay Low For The Rest Of 2011

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- A new report out today says housing prices will not make a comeback this year. The report suggests it's going to take at least two years before median home prices return to levels from the first quarter of this year.

Prices are expected to keeping falling for another year. We asked a financial planner if that means it's time to buy.

"Housing prices are low. Interest rates are low, and if you can qualify for financing, now is as good a time as any," said certified financial planner Matthew page.

Home prices in Sacramento were down 2.7 percent for the second quarter of this yearm according to zillow.com.
