Suspect Taken Into Custody After SWAT Standoff

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — SWAT officers took a man into custody late Thursday afternoon after he barricaded himself inside his home after a domestic dispute.

The Sacramento Police Department closed roads near Richion Drive and Bamford Drive after the standoff developed just before 5:00 p.m.

The suspect was contained to a single room inside the structure, according to authorities, and tear gas was deployed to force the man from the building.

He was taken into custody without further incident. The suspect’s identity has not been released.
