Man Injured In Sacramento Drive-By Shooting

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Sheriff's deputies are investigating a drive-by shooting at Franklin Boulevard and 26th Street in south Sacramento on Tuesday afternoon.

At 2:52 p.m. a woman called the sheriff's department to report that her boyfriend had been shot. She says she was in the car with her boyfriend when a car pulled up and someone in the other car fired, hitting him.

The victim was driven to the fire station on 47th Street and later taken to the UC Davis Medical Center.

Deputies have not released a suspect description or a motive for the shooting.

Road closures in the area are in effect as police continue their investigation.
