Audio: The Grant Napear Show - August 24, 2011

The opening segment began with Grant having a little fun at the expense of local radio personality Carmichael Dave before launching into more NFL previews.

Paul Burmeister of NFL Network looked towards the Jacksonville Jaguars' 2011 season, breaking down how the Jags compare with the rest if their division. Paul discussed Blaine Gabbert's future as QB as well as the franchise's future in Jacksonville.

In the second hour, Detroit Lions preseason broadcaster Matt Shepard said that the Lions are headed in the right direction with Schwartz, Stafford, and Calvin Johnson - but will need some luck on their side to overtake the Packers.

Grant then went to work on the over-promotion of Danica Patrick during his Rant, pointing out that Patrick has but a single win in her career.

Later, Mark Grant of San Diego Padres Television talks about the team's series with the Giants, the Giants' interest in Heath Bell, and why San Diego plays so well away from Petco Park.
