Car Crashes Into Elk Grove Liquor Store

ELK GROVE (CBS13) — A woman driving with her husband and two children slammed into a liquor store off a busy Elk Grove roadway Friday afternoon, creating a mess but causing no injuries.

The car crashed into the Old Town Liquor Store on the 9600 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road at about 3:20 p.m., smashing through the glass front and into a frozen beverage area.

The owner of the store said nobody was injured in the crash, but the business will be cleaning up a lot of spilled products for quite some time. He said everyone was lucky because the car crashed into a slush drink area usually populated by teenagers at that time.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
