PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) — A man was struck and killed by a motor home on Highway 65 and Sunset Boulevard in Rocklin on Monday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at 1:44 p.m. The man, whose identity wasn’t immediately available, was pulled over on the side of the road when hit, the CHP said. Two people were inside the motor home. Their names also weren’t immediately available.

As of 4 p.m., traffic was still backed up for several miles and the CHP was asking motorists to avoid Highway 65 if possible.
