CARMICHAEL (CBS13) — A number of units were destroyed when a two-alarm fire ripped through an apartment complex Sunday afternoon.
The Sacramento Metro Fire Department responded to the 5100 block of El Camino at around 1:45 p.m. and found a unit already fully engulfed in flames, with fire spreading to the attack.
At one point, several firefighters were temporarily trapped in the roof area of the building while fighting the fire.
At least 11 units were damaged before the fire was brought under control.
No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Red Cross is helping displaced residents find shelter, food and clothing.
