PROGRAMMING NOTE: The “Dr. Phil” Show airs on CBS13 3:00pm

(AP) LOS ANGELES — George Anthony, who was the target of child molestation allegations by the defense during his daughter Casey’s murder trial, said he would turn her away if she tried to come home.

Asked in an interview with “Dr. Phil” host Phil McGraw if Casey Anthony would be welcome at his Orlando, Fla., house, George Anthony replied: “Not while I was there, no.”

George Anthony and his wife, Cindy, spoke to McGraw for an interview airing Tuesday and Wednesday on the syndicated TV program and on another “Dr. Phil” show later this month.

In opening statements for Casey Anthony’s trial for the murder of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, defense attorney Jose Baez accused George Anthony of sexually molesting Casey as a child. Baez also alleged that George, a former police officer, made Caylee’s death look like a homicide after the girl drowned.

Baez never presented any testimony or evidence to back up his statements. George Anthony has vehemently denied the allegations.

Cindy Anthony said on the show that it would be difficult for Casey to return, given her relationship with her father. She struck a conciliatory tone regarding her daughter, who was acquitted in July of murdering Caylee and released from jail to an undisclosed Florida location.

“I would love to see her be happy either in a career or in a family setting,” Cindy Anthony said, according to a transcript provided by the show. “You know, I’d love for her to get married if she so chooses and, if she’s healthy, to be able to be a mom again.”

Cindy Anthony said she hopes her daughter gets therapy and any treatment that’s required and, at some point, is able to “move on” with her life.

Casey Anthony herself entertained thoughts of becoming a parent again. During the discovery portion of her case, authorities released a series of letters she wrote to another inmate during her incarceration. In the letters, Casey described having dreams of being pregnant and spoke of a desire to possibly adopt a child in the future.

Caylee was the subject of an intensive search after she disappeared in June 2008. The toddler’s remains were found months later in a wooded area not far from the Anthony home, where Casey lived with her parents. The 25-year-old Anthony, who had told police that a fictitious baby sitter had the child, was convicted of four counts of lying to authorities. She has appealed her convictions.

In the interview with McGraw, George and Cindy Anthony also discussed Casey’s childhood and health, their views of how Caylee might have died and whether they hold their daughter responsible, according to the transcript.

The interviews with the Anthonys were taped over a two-day period. No money was paid to the couple, McGraw said. He has agreed to make a donation to a charity being established by the Anthonys in their granddaughter’s name to support grandparents’ rights and missing and abuse children.

McGraw said he tried to “ask the questions people in America would ask if they could and get the answers they were looking for.”

George Anthony dealt with “the facts and reality in a very forthcoming way,” McGraw said, while he had to press Cindy Anthony for answers and at times felt she was “in a huge state of denial.”

No one had to report Caylee missing because Caylee was never missing. For those that disagree simply confirms that they just do not have the ability to understand what happened in the trial. And their anger now if more about their personal failures in being duped for over three years thinking Casey will be found guilty and put to death than it is about how great a mother Casey was to Caylee before Caylee drown.

My mother had 4 children and also had numerous Grand Mal seizures while we were all young . She never hurt any of us, as a matter of fact was a gentle, loving Mother! Cindy will continue to lie for Casey at all cost, we all know that! She did it on the stand and will continue to cover for her for the rest of her life. I feel sorry for Cindy and George, but it’s a waste of time to listen to her. Our judicial system is broken………..Casey out free proves that for sure! There was enough evidence to put 20 people away for life. What a travesty! I am so glad that Dr. Phil will NOT interview Casey, it shows me that he feels the way we all do…..all he would get would be lie after lie after lie!

I am sorry Dr. Phil but I think interviewing the parents of a baby killer is a waste of your time. Cindy can make as many excuses for her daughter as she wants but the world knows what happened. She should have the same thing done to her as she done to her baby. There was no justice served here! They let a killer go and now she talks about having a husband and another baby some day. Who in their right mind would bee seen with her??? I really think George is the only innocent one here, although he should have spoke out at the trial. Maybe some justice would have been served then.

I REALLY FEEL SORRY FOR THEIR FAMILY. CINDY, IS IN A NO WIN SITUATION. FIRST OF ALL, SHE IS CASEY’S MOTHER. SHE CANNOT TURN OFF HER MOTHERLY LOVE FOR HER CHILD. CINDY IS LOOKING FOR ANSWERS AND SHE IS FEELING ALOT OF GUILT. I KNOW I WOULD ASK QUESTION WHAT REASON OR HOW COULD MY CHILD DO THIS? EVERY WOMAN THAT HAVE CHILDREN SHOULD KNOW NO MATTER WHAT WE GO THROUGH WITH OUR KIDS WE PRAY FOR STRENGTH AND TRY TO MAKE SOME SENSE OF WHAT IS GOING ON. CASEY IS A VERY SICK WOMAN. I THINK SHE HAS A MENTAL ILLNESS AND A DEMON STRAIGHT FROM THE DEVIL HIMSELF. I THINK SHE KILLED OR KNOW WHO KILLED CAYLEE. I AM GLAD THAT DR. PHIL WILL NOT GIVE HER AIR TIME. IN DUE TIME HER DAY IS COMING. LET’S CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR GODS WILL TO BE DONE.

Casey Anthony is a Cold Blooded killer and a threat to society

    1. JanCorey says:

Not according to the court and the facts.

  6. Barbara says:

A innocent little girl has been lost. I believe we will never know the truth of what really happen. I know that Casey has no feeling for anyone, nor will she ever have any feeling for anyone. I don’t believe she ever love her child, parents or brother. I believe she is and always will be pathological liar and will never tell anyone what happen, because she will be afraid someone will get her. She has created her own prison. Only the truth can set her free and she is a coward when it comes to that.

  7. Susan says:

The show was a waste of time. I know they did it to get funds for the Caylee Foundation, but, BUT THEY STILL ARE NOT TELLING THE TRUTH!!! Neither one of the Anthony’s answered a question with a yes or no, just a bunch of talk that really says nothing! Come on Dr. Phil, you promised real answers, and all there was is a bunch od double talk.!!

  8. JanCorey says:

The whole Anthony family are victims of the media and wrongful prosecution. To spend hundreds of thousands of tax-payer-dollars only to get a few convictions on misdemeanor lies is ridiculous imo.

  9. Marilyn says:

My belief, the “beautiful life” tattoo was referring to Caylee. Casey knew of her passing at that point. It was Caylee’s headstone inscription.

  10. Glenda Briley says:

I still don’t beleive anything George says. I am not convinced that anything was solved. I do feel sorry for Cindy because she knows in her heart. That her and Casey had bad problems , being in the middle of George and Casey and taking George’s side. I think she is not sure that George did not do the things Casey says.

  11. Just go away says:

A murder got away with it…………The parents showed they are liars and cheats.

  12. NewsLady P says:

Sorry JanCorey, but the facts never really proved Caylee drowned. The jury merely came to the conclusion that there wasn’t enough evidence to find Casey guilty. This doesn’t mean they didn’t believe she was innocent. There’s a big difference. Me, I think the jury didn’t understand ‘reasonable doubt’ People don’t need to have all the facts laid out on a silver platter to find a person guilty. For instance, just recently we didn’t have DNA evidence and we were able to vote innocent/guilty just fine. Reasonable Doubt doesn’t mean every little bit has to add up.

i also think they are telling the truth i was in flordia over labor day weekend and was at treasher island and when i was walking into walgreans store her parents were walking out also there on a holiday they seamed like all was well i did go up and say i was sorry for there lose they looked and said thank you they were staying at the hotel next to use but it was nicew to see that people only buzzed around them and not bother them . i do believe the mom didnt know anything but i think the dad does and as for her drowning and dig a hole to put her in omg why wouldnt u ccall 911 the dad does he have health issues also come on .

  14. Maxine Covington says:

Casey is a cold blooded murderer and should die! I hope that she dies a horrible death for what she did. Cindy has lied so much she doesn’t know the truth from a lie. She knows that her daughter KILLED her only grandchild and she still wan ts to cover for her. Maybe she helped Casey kill Caylee.
