MODESTO (CBS13) — At least one person has died after a vehcile went off the road and struck a tree in Modesto on Monday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on Ladd Road just west of Tully Road. The vehicle went off the southbound shoulder before hitting the tree.

There were two people in the vehicle. Injuries to the second person weren’t immediately known.
