Registered Sex Offender Arrested Again

VACAVILLE (CBS13) -- A registered sex offender was arrested last week after police spotted him in a parked car with a girl under 16 years old.

A Vacaville police officer was patrolling the area behind the former Yardbirds store site Frodau at 154 Browns Valley Parkway because of recent complaints of criminal activity.

The officer spotted a 2002 Infiniti I35 parked in the dark. As he approached the car, the officer found John Treese, 23, inside with a teenage girl who was only partially clothed.

The girl's name is not being released because of her age.

Treese was found to be a registered sex offender. The investigation also revealed that Treese had befriended the girl in Friday's incident and sent her a pornographic picture, police said.

Treese was charged with having sex with a minor under 16; oral copulation with a minor under 16; sending a sexually explicit image to a minor; and penetration with a foreign object on a minor under 18.

Treese was booked into the Solano County Jail and bail was set at $30,000.
