Fire Fighters Battling House Fire In Roseville

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – Fire fighters are mopping up after a 2-alarm fire heavily damaged a home this morning.

The fire was first reported just after 8:30 a.m. at a home on the 200 block of Diamond Oaks Road near Washington Boulevard.

Fire fighters arrived to find flames coming from the back of the home. The occupants of the home had already made it out.

Crews quickly evacuated the homes on both sides of the burning house in case the fire spread.

Fire fighters were worried that flames would damage power and utility lines above the home. It appears the power lines were spared but lower hanging fiber optic lines may have been damaged.

Fire fighters are trying to determine what sparked the fire.
