Roseville Galleria Re-Opens With 50 New And Returning Stores

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) - Less than one year after a devastating fire at the Roseville Galleria, the rebuilt portion is opening today.

The mall has only been partially opened since last October when 23-year-old Alexander Piggee set fire to the mall damaging or destroying as many as 40 stores and causing an estimated $55 million in damage.

Shoppers will find more than 50 new and returning stores and restaurants.

The first 1500 shoppers today will get a commemorative tote bag and 100 of those bags will have a $50 Westfield gift card inside them.

Doors open at 10am and many retailers are offering special promotions and events.

Nearby businesses and stores are also celebrating the Galleria re-opening.

The nearby Hyatt Place was sold out last night. Rooms were filled with Westfield executives and with plenty of shoppers who wanted to be the first through the doors this morning.

Many of the nearby businesses are offering incentives to draw people back to the mall.
