Kids’ Playground Sabotaged By Vandals

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Officials are concerned that vandals may be targeting children with recent vandalism to playground structures.

Parents said they learned for the first time Friday that potentially dangerous damage has been reported in several incidents at the playground near Washington Elementary School over the past several weeks.

Authorities said someone cut through most of the playground’s tetherball pole two weeks ago, causing it to come crashing down while children played.

“The tetherball fell over, almost hitting one of the children,” said Sacramento Police Department spokesperson Andrew Petit.

In prior incidents, swing seats had been cut open in a way that would make kids fall through, according to Sacramento City Unified spokesperson Gabe Ross.

“It does seem they’re doing things intentionally to make the playground equipment unsafe for kids,” Ross said.

School officials said they plan to send out a notice to all of the students’ parents Friday about the recent incidents. New surveillance cameras are also being installed on campus.

Oh please! call a punk a punk. Vandalism is a crime, its malicious mischief property is destroyed and somebody has to pay to get it all fixed again.. People who do this feel very brave because nobody sees them do it. They think they are getting away with it. Telling the public what they will do next is not going to catch these people they will just move on to another playground.
Can’t the police, or school district, just set up surveillance without telling the criminals their next move? Since when did that become the norm?

Problem is, it is KIDS that are doing most of the vandalism around sacramento. Parent need to control their children and make sure they are coming home at night at a reasonable hous. I live by a park and teenagers are in the park at all hours of the night! But since we have made it almost impossible for a parent to spank/ discipline their child what do you expect?

Jehosh27 on October 20, 2011 Well, the contest is over now, but I think The Last Samurai would be great. You start off with a gun, and know next to nhonitg about swords. (how about the indian raid for the tutorial?) and as the game progresses, factions come into view, and you can side with whomever you want. Multiple, alternate endings, and even alternate fighting styles. Maybe Algren fights AGAINST the samurai at the end? it would be a very fun game, I think, especially if Bioware made it.

Posted on The danger to America is not Barack Hussein Obama but a cenizitry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Hussein Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.
