STOCKTON (CBS13) – Stockton police are investigating the shooting death of a man who was gunned down after delivering a pizza downtown late Thursday night.
Officers responding to the shooting at about 11:15 p.m. found a 31-year-old man who had been shot in his car on South Sutter Street. Police say the man, whose name hasn’t been released, delivered a Domino’s pizza to a woman downtown and then was shot by two men after he got back into his car. He managed to drive a few blocks before the car came to a rest in the 100 block of South Sutter.
Detectives say the victim’s car had collided with a parking meter. They say it doesn’t appear to be a robbery because the victim’s cellphone and wallet were still in the car.
