UPDATE: Missing 'Quakals' Duck Costume Returned

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -– The case of the missing "Quakals" duck suit has been cracked.

Someone saw the CBS13 report mentioning a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the return of the duck costume for the mascot at the Quick Quack Car Wash business and returned the costume, CBS13's Tony Lopez reports.

The owners of the Quick Quack Car Wash businesses say someone took the "Quakals the Duck" costume from a white minivan parked in downtown Sacramento on Front Street on Saturday night around 6. A police report was filed.

Prior to the custom's return, Quick Quack's president lamented that someone would stoop to stealing the duck outfit.

"This is a sad day for us," said Jason Johnson. "It is hard to believe someone would steal our beloved duck. We are assuming that it was just a prank by someone desperate for a Halloween costume and we are asking for the help of our customers and the general public to find Quackals and return him to us. We have no desire to press charges if we can just get him back."
