MODESTO (CBS13) – One person was hurt in a Modesto house fire overnight, according to fire fighters.

The fire broke out in a home on Third and H Streets in Modesto early this morning.

Flames heavily damaged the home, but fire fighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby homes.

One person in the home was taken to the hospital with burns on his legs but is expected to recover.

Four people in total were displaced by the fire. Red Cross is helping them find a temporary place to stay.

The cause is under investigation.
