Howard Beck of the New York Times provides Grant with the latest on the NBA Lockout and what he’s seen while camping out at the negotiations. Howard doesn’t necessarily buy the report that Derek Fisher has been working a backdoor deal with David Stern, or that a deal like that could even be possible. He also says there’s not really an explanation as to why the two sides can seem so close and still not be able to close the deal.
