'Convoy Of Hope' Offering Free Food, Services For Those In Need

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) –- Thousands of people in need can get some free help this weekend in the form of food, clothing and even haircuts in Sacramento.

The Convoy of Hope, a faith-based humanitarian organization, will be at Cal Expo to hand out 100,000 pounds of food free of charge to residents on a first-come, first-serve basis.

There will also be local doctors and dentists on hand to offer free health screenings. People in need can also get free haircuts, free family portraits and free resume help.

The Convoy of Hope has assisted millions of people in the United States since it was formed in 1994.

The gates will open at 10 a.m. rain or shine. Everyone is welcome, no I.D. required.
