There are too many people who abuse the system. Free stuff is addictive. Colleges endorse and tout socialism as the way to go. IT SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK OVER THE LONG TERM. WELFARE PROGRAMS create more welfare programs and soon we have a nation of dependent people. Why do we not establish a work for welfare program. People can work in their communities for welfare and maybe develop some self worth. Also drug testing would be mandatory. Drugs are one of the main reason people fall into the role of being dependent. By the way I visited the Occupy Oakland protest, few sincere people, majority of the participants are not sincere and are there for the event, lots of pot smoking. The protest has no real validity especially since violence has erupted.
