LODI (CBS13) – Northbound Interstate 5 in Lodi is shutdown after a big rig carrying food products overturned just north of Twin Cities Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Crews used inflatable bags to uprighted the tractor trailer but have not moved it off the freeway just yet.

The big rig driver apparently lost control of the truck just before 2:30 a.m.

The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries but he’s expected to be OK.

Motorists are being taken off the freeway at Twin Cities Road and taken around the accident before being let back onto the freeway.

FYI, the I-5/Twin Cities Road interchange is not in Lodi. It’s in the Franklin/Hood area north of Thornton near the Sacramento/San Joaquin County line.

Actually the closest town of any size would be Galt to the east.

The days of the safe driving teamster are long gone, very few of those boys around anymore. . . .What’s left are competitive driving moving road hazards, that usually win any road conflict. . . .

What those teamsters that would beat people up to get what they wanted??? Those safe drivers? If unions didnt get so greedy they would srill be in control
