Citizen's Tip Leads Detectives To Modesto Bank Robbery Suspect
MODESTO (CBS13) -- A man who allegedly robbed a Bank of the West in Modesto on Tuesday morning was arrested just hours later after a citizen's tip, according to police.
Detectives arrested James Rivera, 29, of Modesto, who they say matched the description of the suspect who robbed the Bank of the West at 1401 Oakdale Road.
While investigating the crime, detectives received information that led them to 2306 E. Orangeburg, where they arrested Rivera and seized evidence that they say links him to the crime.
No one was hurt during the robbery. The amount of cash stolen wasn't disclosed.
