The Don Geronimo Show - December 7, 2011

Today, Don starts with the story of Alec Baldwin getting kicked off an airplane at LAX for not turning off his cell phone. Apparently he was too hooked on playing "Words With Friends" to shut it down. Don reads Baldwin's ensuing tweets afterwards, in which he rips American Airlines profusely. We also find out that Don and Janet broke out the Captain Morgan egg nog last night, and Doni didn't hesitate to let everyone know on the Facebook machine. We also hear a nice warm Christmas tale about a young model who walked into an airplane propeller, cutting off her hand and damaging her face. Don then reads a list from radiotimes.com on the 50 greatest Christmas movies of all time, and to Don and Dave's disgust, Family Man is not on it, even though for some reason Tales From The Crypt and Serendipity are.

We then hear that the hack writer at the Sacramento Bee who's always trashing Don, Tom Couzens, has written a new column in today's issue, and once again Don puts the idiot in his place, citing the dramatic jump in ratings, and the fact that every one of Couzens' stupid polls- which are always stacked with loaded questions- seem to always end up in Don's favor. After the verbal onslaught, it's time for our good friend, and favorite gay, LaRoy, to stop by. Today, LaRoy talks about the Sacramento Kings, going to see the musical Hair in San Francisco, his distaste for Mormons, and his "Blow and Go" special at his hair salon.

After LaRoy, Don tells us that he received a text from the G.M. in San Diego who wants to pick up Don's show, and the text says "we have a deal!" So starting in January, The Don Geronimo Show will be on the air in San Diego! Don then interviews CBS broadcaster Kevin Harlan, who is doing play-by-play for the Buffalo/San Diego game Sunday for CBS, and the St. Louis/Seattle game on Monday for Westwood One (which will air right here on 1140 The Fan). Kevin talks about how he prepares for a broadcast, how much he likes SD head coach Norv Turner, what he thinks of Tim Tebow, and even tells us the story of when Shaq met his kids!

After hearing a youtube clip of impressionist Jim Meskimen reading 'Twas The Night Before Christmas in different celebrity voices, Don calls in Noodles to talk about his recent break up, and even tries to hook him up with a new girl. Don also gives him the Hot Seat quiz, and takes a picture of his flabby arms that he posts on Facebook and Twitter. He then has Craig come in to fondle his boobs. After Dave farts in Craig's face, which means he owes Craig $10, it's time for the "Phantom News Hour." Among the stories today: Today is the 70th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day, Entertainment Weekly's "Entertainer of the Year" is Daniel Radcliffe, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has inducted Guns n' Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Beastie Boys, and the Faces, and Queen possibly going on tour in 2012 with Adam Lambert. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
