The Grant Napear Show - December 16, 2011

Today on the Grant Napear Show basketball and football were the hot topics. Grant took calls about the Raiders, 49ers, Kings, as well as other NFL games, and NBA news. Grant interviewed Tom Flores, Ray McDonald, Jon Barry, Quentin Groves, and Joe Davidson.

Tom Flores, the Oakland Raiders color analyst was on with Grant today. They talked about the Raiders upcoming games and their importance to the Raiders making the playoffs this year. Then Tom discussed Carson Palmer's performance, as well as some of the Raiders' injuries, and why the defense hasn't performed well this season.

San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Ray McDonald joined Grant today. Ray talked about the mentality of the 49ers defense and what they do that makes them so successful. He also discussed where the 49ers' mindset is at following losses in two out of their last three games. Grant and Ray also talked about the 49ers upcoming game against the Steelers on Monday night.

Jon Barry from ESPN was on with Grant today to talk about the NBA. They first talked about the impact of a shortened preseason and regular season. Jon also talked about the Kings and Chuck Hayes, as well as the effects of the Chris Paul trade, and Mark Jackson's chances to succeed with the Warriors. They also talked about the Mavericks' chances to repeat.

Oakland Raiders' linebacker Quentin Groves joined Grant today. He first talked about the Raiders' defense and the factors that have lead to their struggles this season. Quentin also talked about the Raiders' matchup against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Joe Davidson from the Sacramento Bee was on with Grant today to talk about High School football. They talked about the benefits for the community of Del Oro being in the State Championship game. Then Joe discussed Del Oro's road to the State Championship game and how good they were this season.
