Home Depot Hiring 1,000 People In Sacramento Area

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Home Depot is getting ready for their busiest season of the year…the remodeling season. And they need to hire one-thousand workers in the Sacramento area.

The Spring is the company's busiest selling season. Nationwide, they plan on hiring 70,000 seasonal workers.

"Just as the Christmas rush and holiday hiring ends for many retailers, we begin recruiting for spring seasonal associates to help customers during our busiest selling season," said Tim Crow, executive vice president for Human Resources. "And a seasonal job at The Home Depot can often lead to a regular position if you're passionate about customer service."

The company says about half of the seasonal workers hired last year stayed on in permanent positions as cashiers, sales associates, lot associates and garden associates, to name a few.
