Adam Gordon was willing to sit down with us behind bars, but he decided to dodge questions about what put him there.

Gordon is accused of killing 53-year-old David Pare, who was found dead the morning of Dec. 30 inside Pare composites - his south Sacramento motorcycle parts company. Police say they believe Pare and Gordon got into a fight the night before, but they haven't said what prompted the altercation.

"I can't talk about anything right now," he told CBS13's Derek Shore.

"I'm trying to get an idea of how you even know David," Shore responded.

"I understand," Gordon said. "I can't even talk about anything right now."

"Even how you know him?"

"I can't talk about anything right now."

Gordon said he didn't work for Pare, but still somehow the two were inside Pare's company after hours. Cops say hours after Gordon strangled Pare, he was found driving the victim's truck in Reno, where he was arrested.

"Do you have family in Reno?," Shore asked Gordon.

"Yeah, I have family from all over the area."

According to his Facebook page, Gordon is an Elk Grove High and Sonoma State graduate. Cops say he's also a killer. And for now, he's not saying anything.

"We're trying to make it through and find out what's going on," he said. "I'm kind of in the dark just like you are."
