Shortly after 10 a.m., Sacramento County Sheriff's homicide detectives arrested 28-year-old Christopher Strong in connection with the shooting deaths of Sean Aquitania and his infant son, Sean, Jr.

Strong was taken into custody at a residence in San Mateo, transported back to Sacramento, and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on a charge of murder. He's being held without bail. He was also charged with burglary and attempted robbery, sheriff's spokesman Deputy Jason Ramos said.

Aquitania, 21, and his 8-month-old son were shot to death at a friend's home on the 8400 block of County Greens Court in south Sacramento. Aquitania suffered two gunshot wounds to his upper body and died at the scene. The baby was shot in the head and taken to a local hospital, where he died.

Investigators believe that Aquitania and his infant son happened upon the scene of a home-invasion robbery, at which time the shootings took place.

Investigators believe that Strong was inside the residence during this incident, and was an active participant in the events that led to these murders. Detectives said they learned early in the investigation that one of the suspects had been shot in the leg during the incident, and court records show Strong has a wound on his leg. DNA matching Strong was also found on zip ties used to bind the robbery victim.

Two other suspects have been arrested in connection to this case. Donald Ortez-Lucero, 27, was arrested in Oakland on Oct. 10. Richard Noguera, 34, was arrested in Sacramento on Oct. 14.

Investigators believe all three suspects in this case are now in custody.
